Headteacher’s Welcome

Maghull High School is proud of its ethos and standing within the community. Our talented and committed staff are dedicated to enabling each pupil to reach his or her full potential and to become mature and responsible citizens. We have a vibrant extra-curricular life not only through our specialist status as a Performing Arts College but also through our extensive sports programme and cultural experiences.

We have a long standing and supportive partnership with the Southport Learning Trust and will have completed the formal transfer to join their Multi Academy Trust on 1 November 2020.  Joining the Trust will help to further improve the life chances of all students we teach and achieve excellent outcomes for the children of Maghull High School.

Face Coverings

Face coverings are compulsory for students and staff in all communal indoor areas in school and on public transport.   This is to help reduce the rate of transmission of coronavirus at a time when nationally, infection rates are increasing. The vast majority of our students are complying with this.  Thank you to those parents and carers who have provided their child with washable, reusable masks and face coverings.  This is so much better for the environment than using several disposable masks a day and also means that as a school, we are directing less of our resources towards providing masks to those who do not have their own.  We would really appreciate it if those students who do not yet have their own reusable face coverings could ensure that they have them organised for Monday 12 October.  Thank you.
