Sixth Form Careers and HE Advice

CEIAG is an ongoing process throughout a student’s two years in sixth form.  Students are fully informed about the benefit of university and are encouraged to attend open days.  Students have access to a range of university visits and are regularly presented to by university representatives.  Once they make the decision to submit an application students are helped throughout the UCAS process and have one-to-one personal statement support.  During the final few weeks of the summer term year 12 students undertake work experience, with the aim of further improving their personal statement content.  Students who express an interest in apprenticeships receive one-to-one support throughout the application.  They also have the opportunity to attend a Careers Fair, where companies from around Merseyside offer information and guidance regarding the apprenticeships they offer.
