Headteacher’s Welcome

Maghull High School is proud of its ethos and standing within the community. Our talented and committed staff are dedicated to enabling each pupil to reach his or her full potential and to become mature and responsible citizens. We have a vibrant extra-curricular life not only through our specialist status as a Performing Arts College but also through our extensive sports programme and cultural experiences.

We have a long standing and supportive partnership with the Southport Learning Trust and will have completed the formal transfer to join their Multi Academy Trust on 1 November 2020.  Joining the Trust will help to further improve the life chances of all students we teach and achieve excellent outcomes for the children of Maghull High School.

North West Technology Tournament

Mr Abraham and Miss Nelson took two teams of year 7 girls and one team of year 10 boys to represent the Design and technology Department at the annual North West Technology Tournament held at North Liverpool Academy.

The teams were involved in solving a problem that required them to design and make a vehicle powered by a falling weight!

All teams worked well and produced some excellent designs and finished products.

Up against more experienced and older teams, all our teams, especially the year 7 teams, performed admirably but this time failed to win a trophy.

The teams were:

  • Paris Tansley
  • Sarah Maguire
  • Megan Neary
  • Beth Barlow
  • Megan Kinsella
  • Megan Frankland
  • Beth Frankland
  • Clare turner.
  • All year 7.
  • James Lowry
  • Ben Davies
  • Ben Pruden-Hugh
  • Matthew Dickinson
  • All year 10

Next year we will be back!
