e-Safety Award

Congratulations to all the staff and students who worked together to help our school gain the prestigious national 360° e-Safety award. We were assessed independently on all aspects of our work to keep Maghull High students safe online. Special congratulations go to our Peer Mentor team who designed and produced three short films for our assemblies and who hope to take the safety message to our feeder primary schools next term.

We are one of only 2 schools in the Merseyside area to qualify for this award. Well done to you all

Ada at the Edge

Some of our Year 8 girls were lucky enough to be invited to a Computing and Technology day at Edge Hill University.

The day focused on girl's design aspirations by focusing on design and creativity through technology and computing. Activities included wearable technology, designing inspirational mobile apps, and creating small computer games using Stencyl. They also looked at stereo-types of computer scientists. The girls enjoyed computing and technology in a fun atmosphere.

The day certainly inspired some of our year 8 girls to be some of our future Computer Scientists!
