Headteacher’s Welcome

Maghull High School is proud of its ethos and standing within the community. Our talented and committed staff are dedicated to enabling each pupil to reach his or her full potential and to become mature and responsible citizens. We have a vibrant extra-curricular life not only through our specialist status as a Performing Arts College but also through our extensive sports programme and cultural experiences.

We have a long standing and supportive partnership with the Southport Learning Trust and will have completed the formal transfer to join their Multi Academy Trust on 1 November 2020.  Joining the Trust will help to further improve the life chances of all students we teach and achieve excellent outcomes for the children of Maghull High School.

School Health Team Update

Immunisation delivery in schools was suspended in March due to the COVID 19 outbreak. Sefton  Immunisation Team has now been given the go ahead by NHS England to recommence delivery of vaccinations.

Parents from year 9 pupils who have previously returned a consent form are currently being contacted by Sefton Immunisation Team inviting students to attend school to receive their missed vaccinations and have been asked to attend at a specified time to enable the service to be delivered in a safe way adhering to government guidance.

For students who have not returned a consent form, please be assured your child will be put on a catch up programme from September throughout the next academic school year.

If you have any queries, please contact Sefton Immunisation Team on 0151 247 6130.

Parental Update

The government have issued new information for parents and carers regarding the autumn term return for schools.  We will release detailed guidance for parents, carers and students before the end of term.
