The 1st prize is a Canon Digital SLR camera, and 2 runners up will also win a camera.
Myerscough College is organising this competition for schools in the North West. The winning school is offered a workshop for a group of learners to attend a full day at Myerscough College enjoying and learning about forms of Photography
Dyson on target in South Africa

Callum Dyson played for Everton FC in the Future Champions Cup 2013 held in Soweto, South Africa 25th - 30th March. In the group games Everton beat SAFA- Sedibeng 4-0, Johannesburg Secondary 5-0 and drew 1-1 with Aspire (Qatar) Callum scored in two of the group games getting the vital goal in the game against Aspire. In the Semi Final Everton played Athletic Miniero and Callum scored as Everton won 1-0.
The Final was against Club Tijuana and after a hard fought 1-1 draw Everton lost 4-3 on penalties.
A massive well done to Callum on his achievements from everyone at Maghull High School.

Joseph Delaney Visit Tuesday 30th April

Joseph Delaney Author of Spooks will be visiting Maghull High School just after Easter on Tuesday 30th April 2013 so anyone wanting signed Spook's Books, the paperback of Book 13 'Blood' is just out!!
Joseph Delaney is a retired English teacher living in Lancashire. He has three children and seven grandchildren and is a wonderful public speaker available for conference, library and bookshop events. His home is in the middle of Boggart territory and his village has a boggart called the Hall Knocker, which was laid to rest under the step of a house near the church.
Most of the places in the Spook's books are based on real places in Lancashire. And the inspiration behind the stories often comes from local ghost stories and legends.
The Spook's Apprentice, The Spook's Curse and The Spook's Secret have all been shortlisted for the Lancashire children's Book for the Year Award. The Spook's Apprentice is the winner of both the Sefton Book Award and the Hampshire Book Award.
