Art Trip

A small group of Year 11 and 12 students visited Unit 12, Stafford, to work with the artist Jennifer Collier. All students learnt a variety of new sculptural techniques and enjoyed creating artwork for their coursework, mainly based around the theme of 'Sweet Treats'.

Students will continue to develop these new skills they learnt now they are back in school.

Claire Young

Claire Young gave an inspirational and motivating speech at our recent presentation evening. She handed out the awards to our students and complimented then on their hard work and accomplishments. She also complimented our drama,  dance and musical students who performed at the event.

Made famous by her role as the highly driven runner up of series four of 'The Apprentice', reaching the final watched by over 11 million viewers, Lord Sugar dubbed her a 'Rottweiler' for her tenacious approach and mind set of never giving up.

Claire climbed the FMCG ( fast moving consumer goods) career ladder starting out in roles at Colgate Palmolive, L'Oreal and Superdrug. Today she runs her own business, 'School Speakers' and has co-founded 'Girls Out Loud 'a social enterprise working with teenage girls 11 to 18 years old. She works within the media as a journalist/radio presenter in addition to working with the government on projects helping young people onto the career ladder and more women in business.
