Headteacher’s Welcome

Maghull High School is proud of its ethos and standing within the community. Our talented and committed staff are dedicated to enabling each pupil to reach his or her full potential and to become mature and responsible citizens. We have a vibrant extra-curricular life not only through our specialist status as a Performing Arts College but also through our extensive sports programme and cultural experiences.


We are delighted to have now formally joined the Southport Learning Trust in November 2020.  Maghull High school are looking forward to working in partnership across the Trust to help to further improve the life chances of all students and achieve excellent outcomes for the children of Maghull High School.

Wider school opening to students from Year 10 and Year 12

We are delighted to now be able to offer some face-to-face time in school for students from Year 10 and Year 12 with effect from Monday, 22 June.  Click on the parental letters below to access related documents, including our full risk assessment, parent and student guides and information on safe travel.  We look forward to welcoming some of our students back on site next week.  Please ensure that you look carefully at the bus timetable, as there have been changes to some pick-up points and times.  If you need any further clarification, please contact us on 0151 527 3955.

MS Teams

We are preparing to roll out the next phase of our home learning strategy using Microsoft Teams.

From Monday, 22 June we will run a three week trail of subject specific live messaging tutorials, which we hope will enhance the learning experience of students from year seven to year ten.  Please click on the logo below to access the parent/carer letter, online safety guide, student user guide and Acceptable Use Agreement.

Letter from Sefton Council 16 June

Please see the letter below for an update from Sefton Council who are now recommending that schools can progress to wider opening from w/c 22 June.  We will share further information on this with parents and carers of students in year ten and twelve later this week.
