Pupils meet Royalty

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Tuesday 2nd June six year eight pupils attended the International Federation of Warehousing Logistics Association conference at Liverpool Town Hall. They were invited by Potter Logistics and Business on the Move after attending two previous business studies trips. The pupils were invited to perform the Business on the Move logistics board game at the conference for HRH Princess Anne as well as other esteemed guests. The logistics game teaches pupils how to transport goods from different areas of the world to different companies. Everyone at the conference was impressed with how successful and knowledgeable the pupils were with logistics. The pupils were a credit to the school and enjoyed meeting HRH.

Computing and Robotics Workshop

 

 

 

 

 

On 30th March three groups of year 7 and 8 Computing pupils enjoyed a visit by Dr. Katie Atkinson, lecturer at Liverpool University. They worked together in small teams to write programmes which were then downloaded to the ‘Mindstorms’ robots, giving them instructions about how to move around the room following the instructions they were given.

Art Department Trip to Paris

During February half term 35 pupils from year 9, 10, 11 and 12 had a wonderful time in Paris. We visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre and the Champs Élysée.

We also had great fun in Disneyland. A truly unforgettable trip!
