School Ethos.
Maghull High School is proud of its ethos and standing within the community. Our talented and committed staff is dedicated to enabling each pupil to reach his or her full potential and to become a mature and responsible citizen. We have a vibrant extra-curricular life, not only through our specialist status as a Performing Arts College but also through our extensive sports programme and much more besides.
School Development
Recent developments at the school have included the opening of our Newton Mathematics building and the wonderful “Amadeus Suite”, our new music facility. Together these projects represent over £1 million of capital investment. In addition, July 2009 saw the opening of our dining room extension, “The Orangery” furnished and part funded by the school’s PTFA. We are soon to see construction start on our new creative and media facility, “Studio One” and improvements to our entrance and reception area. We are determined to provide the very best for our school.
Trust Status
The school has decided to consult parents and other stakeholders about the feasibility of Maghull High School becoming a Foundation School with Trust Status. The proposal would see the establishment of a charitable trust called The Maghull Learning Trust and partners from Edge Hill University, Lime Pictures and NHS Sefton working more closely with the school.
