The school is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton and is a successful, oversubscribed, mixed 11-18 Performing Arts College with over 1100 students on roll, including a Sixth Form of 250. We have a large and proactive staff team consisting of qualified teachers, learning support staff and administrative staff.

POST:                   Science Technician

SALARY:              NJC Local Government Pay Scale Grade E SCP 7 – 11
                             £22,369 – £24,054 per annum

HOURS:               Full time, 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Maghull High School is part of the Southport Learning Trust family of schools.  The Governors are seeking to employ a Science Technician.  The successful candidate will be an energetic and conscientious individual with a good degree of flexibility to support all aspects of the science department.  The Science Technician will be

expected to organise, deliver and develop technical services to the Science Faculty in order to support the

teaching of a range of science subjects across all key stages.

The ideal candidate will have the highest of expectations and aspirations for themselves and others. They will be innovative, creative and ideally will have up-to-date knowledge of scientific equipment and materials, including the safe storage and disposal of used chemicals, Health and Safety, COSHH, CLEAPSS and other relevant legislation.

The Local Governing Board of Maghull High School are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher of Design Technology who has the drive, skills and enthusiasm to join our successful, highly motivated and supportive Design Technology Faculty.  You will join an established and supportive team of colleagues.

Assistant Head of Year

POST:  Assistant Head of Year

Term time only:  33.92 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

SALARY:  Grade F SCP 12-19 £24496- £27852 per annum (pro-rata)

START DATE:  As soon as possible

Maghull High School is part of the Southport Learning Trust family of schools. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individual to join our highly effective pastoral team.  The successful    candidate will be a key member of the Pastoral Support Team for a year group, working with the Head of Year and Tutors to support all aspects of students’ progress and to supervise a prepared lesson in the absence of a class teacher, ensuring that in doing so the students’ learning and development is continued and maintained.

You must be versatile and flexible and have experience of working with children, be confident and possess good interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.

Qualified teacher status is not required for this role, although applicants with this status are welcome to apply.
